CactUs Lock was born out of a very real frustration. Aïko Leroux, a chemical engineer, has been working for more than four years on this technology born from a personal tragedy: the theft of her brand new electric bike, despite it being equipped with two certified locks from a major brand. His conclusion is simple and radical: strengthening steel is pointless if the logic remains the same. Rather than resisting the tool any longer, she and her team chose to attack the thief's mindset — "you have to become an actor in the theft, and no longer be a victim of the cut-up. A flight = 2 variables -> human and tool. Why not act on both?" After years of development, the final choice fell on putrescine — the molecule of decomposing corpses, a natural, harmless, but biologically irresistible molecule. The startup wins the 4S Competition of Crédit Mutuel Dauphiné Vivarais, appears on M6 in "Who wants to be my partner?",and finds itself covered by TF1, Le Figaro, 20 Minutes and Vélo Radio.
