Made of Matter

Born in London and based in Paris, Made of Matter is an experimental design studio founded by graphic designer and artist Julia Bancilhon. Founded in 2021, the studio combines artistic vision, expertise and sustainability. Made of Matter designs custom wallpapers and textiles, digitally printed on demand, in order to minimize waste. The studio is a celebration of color and joyful composition, creating patterns and designs that bring energy, personality, and uniqueness to interiors.’ Julia collaborates with architects, brands, cultural spaces and private clients, developing bespoke creations and collaborative projects based on a sensitive and thoughtful approach to materials and space. In addition to its bespoke projects, Made of Matter develops permanent collections and regularly presents new collections, allowing a wider audience to discover and appreciate the studio's universe.
