Chickens and Vines – Ingrandes-de-Touraine, in the heart of the Bourgueil AOC Chickens and Vines – Gabriel and Julie SIMON is a family farm located in the heart of the Bourgueil vineyards, in Ingrandes-de-Touraine (now Coteaux-sur-Loire). Created by Gabriel SIMON in 2017, the farm was born from a simple idea: to combine traditional poultry farming with the richness of the Touraine wine-growing terroir. A farm nestled among vineyards, woods, and nature Spanning several hectares of meadows, vineyards, and woods, the animals are raised in a natural environment. The poultry roam freely between the rows of vines where they participate in the maintenance of the plots, limit insects and naturally fertilize the soils. This approach promotes biodiversity while respecting animal welfare. Heritage and Local Breeds The farm is renowned for its work in preserving and promoting heritage breeds: * Touraine Géline * Galotiere Guinea Fowl * Fat Duck * Rouen Duck * Muscovy Duckling * Ingrandes Geese * Quail * Rabbit * Julie Pigeon * Solognote Sheep Careful Feeding The animals are fed with grains selected from regional producers. Rations are adapted according to species, age and season
